Are front foils and membrane keyboards also available for outdoor use?

Yes. We use special materials for these products – these have the advantage that they are very weather-resistant.

The films we use are made of a polyester base with specially constructed hard and base layers. They are formulated to withstand ultraviolet light, excessive humidity and large temperature fluctuations.

Furthermore, our specialists for outdoor use have a high bending life of more than 5 million actuations for non-embossed switches, a very long service life and extreme resistance to abrasion, chemicals and solvents.

By contrast, conventional films quickly turn yellow when exposed to UV light, and in outdoor applications they can delaminate, become brittle or flake off.
